About Sakhi Trust
Sakhi Trust is a registered non-governmental organization based in Karnataka, dedicated to empowering marginalized communities, especially women, youth, and Devadasi families in the Hyderabad-Karnataka region. Established in 2007, Sakhi Trust works tirelessly to overcome caste-, gender-, and social discrimination by providing comprehensive support in education, vocational training, health, and social advocacy.
We strive to create lasting social change and uplift disadvantaged populations. We engage actively in mining-affected areas and rural communities to improve living conditions, promote organic farming, and raise awareness on health and environmental issues. As a steadfast companion and advocate, we encourage voices of the oppressed to rise and build a more equitable society.
Our Mission
Our mission is to foster sustainable development and self-reliance through community mobilization, skill building, and crisis intervention for vulnerable groups facing exploitation, child labor, and sexual abuse. By promoting women empowerment, youth leadership, and sustainable livelihoods.
